To provide community support and substance abuse education for women who suffer from chemical and process addictions…To support the recovering community of women and their families/ friends/ support groups… to provide support for women and girls who have been affected by addictive behaviors of their own, or the addictive behaviors of someone else who has had an impact on their lives…
We recognize that addictive coping patterns can take both physical and emotional forms, and addictions can range from chemicals, to dysfunctional behaviors, and process addictions. Recognizing that we all have unhealthy coping skills, we seek as a group to becoming the best and the healthiest version of ourselves. We do this by becoming focused on our individual wellness. To this end, once per year, there is a week-long immersive recovery environment event where women meet together to participate in a conference atmosphere with workshops, 12 step and non 12 step self-help groups, workshops, exercise, healthy catered food, and sisterly support.
Workshops are conducted by peers, physicians, psychiatrists, counselors, and attorneys to assist women and children in making positive life decisions. This life-changing opportunity that can change the trajectory of their futures is only possible because of people like you.
The yearly gathering also serves to provide continuing educational units (CEUs) for professionals working in the area of substance abuse treatment toward licensure and certification attainment or retention.

Throughout the year there is an online presence of individual women who meet regularly via virtual meetings to continue aftercare linkage via a private Facebook group and online support groups. The linkage community serves as a support system as women from all over the country, as well as Mexico and Canada, are part of this network.
At Serenity and Sobriety, we envision a community where all youth discover and achieve their fullest potential, no matter their life circumstances, and where women struggling with addiction find positive ways to change the lives of themselves and their children. That’s why we are dedicated to providing dynamic programs and immersive outdoor experiences that inspire and empower youth and adults who are often from under-resourced communities to discover their resilience, prepare for their future, and embrace their civic responsibility. By balancing traditional camp adventures with evidence-based programs that reinforce and support education, Serenity and Sobriety both educates and inspires. And in doing so, we help women learn how to live sober and productive lives and help kids discover the best in themselves so they can grow up to be healthy adults.
